There was a one hour interview on CNBC with Warren Buffet, the second richest man who has donated $31 billion (85% of his fortune) to charity.Here are some very interesting aspects of his life:

1) He bought his first share at age 11 and he now regrets that he started too late!

2) He bought a small farm at age 14 with savings from delivering newspapers.

3) He still lives in the same small 3 bedroom house in mid-town Omaha, that he bought after he got married 50 years ago. He says that he has everything he needs in that house. His house does not have a wall or a fence.

4) He drives his own car everywhere and does not have a driver or security people around him.

5) He never travels by private jet, although he owns the world’s largest private jet company.

6) His company, Berkshire Hathaway, owns 63 companies. He writes only one letter each year to the CEOs of these companies, giving them goals for the year. He never holds meetings or calls them on a regular basis.

7) He has given his CEO’s only two rules.

Rule number 1: Do not lose any of your share holder’s money.

Rule number 2: Do not forget rule number 1.

He does not socialize with the high society crowd. His past time after he gets home is to make himself some pop corn and watch television.

9) Bill Gates, the world’s richest man met him for the first time only 5 years ago. Bill Gates did not think he had anything in common with Warren Buffet. So he had scheduled his meeting only for half hour. But when Gates met him, the meeting lasted for ten hours and Bill Gates became a devotee of Warren Buffet.

10) Warren Buffet does not carry a cell phone, nor has a computer on his desk.

11) His advice to young people: Stay away from credit cards and invest in yourself.

Isai Aruvi, sister channel of Kalaignar Tv, launched today around 11:00 IST. The channel has started by playing kalaignar written film song followed by Billa, Beema and Kaalai songs. The channel is of good clarity and digital sound. It is rumored that most of the Sun Music DJs have already shifted to Isai Aruvi to do the programs. The logo of the Isa aruvi looks similar to the Kalaignar tv logo. The war between SUN Network and DMK is getting hotter.

After a political war battle between DMK and Maran brothers, DMK decided to start a private satellite channel, Kalaignar TV launched on september 15th, in the ocassion of Vinayagar chathurthi. From the first day of launch it acts to be a great competitor of SUN TV. There was a fight between them in acquiring the rights for the new mega budget super hit Tamil films like Sivaji and Billa. Now the Kalaignar TV has decided to launch another new music channel, ISAI ARUVI, to fight against SUN MUSIC, 24 hrs music channel controlled by SUN Network. The date of launch of the ISAI ARUVI, music channel, has not confirmed officially, but everyone hopes it to be very soon. The promotion work for the ISAI ARUVI, new music channel, has already started and some ads were seen in Kalaignar TV, in that animated ad Super Star Rajni and Ultimate Star Ajith were dancing together. After the super hit of the Ajith starrer ‘Billa’ film, Ajith has got the super star status in the kollywood. And, now this ad well explain the super star status of Ajith Kumar and also creates a great hype among the public for the launch of the ISAI ARUVI. The first promotion ad of Isai Aruvi video can be watched below.

Yesterday, I visited the Sriperumbudur engineering colleges to invite them to our CSE department symposium and give to them the symposium posters, with my friend, Poojith. It was really a happy and adventure ride on National Highway 4, widely called as Bangalore highway. On that way, I saw many industries, factories and colleges. I was sitting back and Poojith was driving his bike, Yamaha G5, at 60 - 80 km/hr, really fast. But, then too we spend some time and took some snap shots of companies and impressing places on that highway. I would like to share the pictures with you, so see to it.

A huge sigh of relief for people, who are all using the government owned corporation buses for their traveling. On January 3rd Thursday, Dr. Karunanidhi waived the flag and rolled out 1000 new buses for the transport corporations owned by the Tamil Nadu govt. The Tamil Nadu government owns three transport corporation namely S.E.T.C [State Express Transport Corporation], T.N.S.T.C [Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation] and MTC [Metropolitan Transport Corporation]. The newly rolled out 1000 buses were distributed to these three transports corporation, in this 500 buses were given to MTC and the remaining 500 buses were shared between SETC and TNSTC in distinct ratio. The official sources said that the new buses were added as a replacement for old tired buses, seen often in Chennai roads. And, also some new routes has been added to the usual fleet routes, in that most of that buses were directed to moffussil places.

I hope you all remember the addition of air-conditioned bus to the MTC, now it is SETC, the meager number of air-conditioned buses has been given to SETC. The Public talk is that, the newly added 500 new buses have not completely replaced the old tired buses, happens to be break down frequently. There is also one more sad story and truth behind the introduction of 500 new buses to the MTC, that will be analysed and discussed in the coming days.

For past four hours I was involved in building back links to my blog. For that I was visiting Marc’s blog and doing some work over there, by mistake I clicked on one of the names in blogroll. It took me to Marc’s friend Vinny’s blog. The blog was dark and bright in the black background with text in wheat color. I was looking at the blog posts, suddenly I noticed the post titled Dumb and Dumber and started to read down the post. It was really interesting and funny. I want everyone to see to this funniest incident and so I’m posting that content right here.
